About Us
Mission
The Twisp Public Development Authority (PDA) is a partnership of the Methow Valley community that fosters and promotes economic vitality, local agriculture, arts and culture and innovative educational opportunities.. Programs are rooted in a commitment to sustainable practices in our community and beyond.
About the Twisp PDA
The Twisp PDA was chartered by the town of Twisp to acquire and develop the 6.4 acre former Forest Service site in Twisp, Washington. A “public development authority” is a government owned corporation that is legally separate from the city by which it was established.
The PDA’s Board of Directors is in the process of developing the physical infrastructure of the site and forming partnerships with businesses, non-profit groups, individuals and other entities with an interest in operating programs on the site.
The PDA is governed by a Board of Directors, whose members are appointed by the mayor and town council of Twisp.
The Master Plan
The master plan outlines the anticipated physical development of the site and the types of programs that will be developed in conjunction with partners. Infrastructure development and use of the existing buildings will come first. Program activities will begin as partnerships are formed and implemented.
